My ad hoc recipe for a hot & sweet grilled tofu:
Press and drain a block of extra firm tofu.
Slice in 1/2 inch slices.
Sauce:
rough proportions:
1/3 olive oil
1/3 Salam Oeblek Chili Paste
1/3 honey
I used probably 1/4 cup each for the sauce and had enough to slather and soak the slices before throwing on the grill and then enough to baste on the grill.
Low heat on the grill. Turn before it sticks, but wait for good dark grill marks. The honey should help give the outside a crunch. Excellent with homemade
bread and butter pickles on a big sammie roll.
