This is my $500 worth of Barn Sale booty. It is mostly tanks and bloomers. I’ve been wearing the same dregs that I dragged home when I was a Flax employee and now they are pretty beat. How is that for rationalization?!? I do wish that the bloomers had pockets. I may have to try to rig a cell phone pocket somehow.
Exciting news from the antiques and collectibles division of DDG. I've shared a booth with Dee at Barn House Antiques in Lansing for about a year now. Starting May 1st I am going to have my own booth, right up front near the register. I'll have more room for Flax, vintage clothes and accessories and other funky stuff that we can't resist buying. Stay tuned...I'll post a photo when I have it set up.

In a strange twist of fate, I parked in front of a house on Court Street in Ithaca that had a sign calling it "Mary Durham House." It caught my eye, but I wasn't sure what it was that happened at Mary Durham House. I continued on my way to my appointment around the corner. When I returned to my car, a neighbor of mine was coming out of Mary Durham House and she told me that it is a used clothing business and that they have Flax on the racks. Whoohoo! 10 more minutes on the parking meter - I was there! They did indeed have a healthy rack of Flax and I found myself a Fern Smock Frock from Basic 1999 (my favorite collection) in my size and at a very reasonable $20. It turns out the MDH is a retail training center for women with little or no work experience. I was impressed with both their inventory and the courtesy of the staff. Check it out!

This was a particularly good podcast of Good Food. The segment at the end about the neighborhood food coop was thought-provoking. My wheels are turning!
