DDG King Ferry Studio

The King Ferry studio/store space is starting to be known as "that place with the suitcases in the windows" and that it is! I can't manage regular open hours there, but I put out the open flag when I'm there as often as possible. I do have racks of $5 (3/$10) bargain clothing including Flax. Also in the mix are vintage clothes and accessories, gobs of vintage linens, collectible glassware and pottery, furniture in various states of repurposing, ephemera (including 1950s Farm Journals),  and plenty of etc. Look under the About tab above for info on reaching me about appointments and open hours.

Hike with Unexpected Treasures

We headed out yesterday to explore a gorge and waterfalls. We were pleasantly surprised by a rather exciting scrap metal pile. I need to return with a wagon.

Wild Red Head

Red-Bellied Woodpecker at the feeder this morning. I went a bit overboard with the photos, but with a digital camera, it doesn't really matter. This beauty had a brilliant head and stuck around the feeder for quite a while. And yes, the name is oddly Red-Bellied, even though it is actually the head that is red.

Christmas Pretties

I worked at Found in Ithaca yesterday afternoon and the customers all remarked about the Christmas decorations in the shop. The vendors have really brought it this year. The cast iron planter in the top photo is mine ($275 poinsettias included). It is a beauty. My glass case has lots of lovely gift items for someone who just needs a bit of shiny-pretty vintage. The cartons of blue tear drop bulbs are not in my booth, but I do love them...packaging and all!
