I am selling this gorgeous mid-1800s coverlet at Found in Ithaca. The patterns, the animals and the perfect condition make it quite extraordinary. There is a photo of the reverse side on the Found website.

I've met this yogurt!
I was so excited to find this yogurt in a glass jar from Berle Farm at Greenstar today. Back in 2001 or so I was working for the Demeter Association. Demeter is a Biodynamic certification company and Aurora Certified Organic was their own version of organic before the government got involved. I visited Berle Farm in Hoosick, New York and enjoyed their artisan cheeses. I love that they have product in the Ithaca market!

Winter Sunset
I'm working on artwork for the upcoming moon-themed art show at Man in the Moon Bakery in King Ferry and I couldn't resist running out into the cold to snap a few (ok, quite a few) sunset photos tonight. The color was intense against the white snow.

Carried Away in Vintage Clothing Research
The first formalized bathing costume in the modern era was not a piece of clothing at all but a piece of architecture: a bathing machine. Invented by a Quaker in 1753, the horse-drawn half carriage contained a “modesty tunnel” that allowed a fully clothed Victorian woman to enter the sea privately.

CLB (Cute Little Booth)
I am thrilled to have a full booth at Found in Ithaca (in addition to my glass case). They have a big Chamber of Commerce event there tomorrow, so I've thrown this together over the last couple of days.
