I've amassed a large shelf of children's book with interesting illustrations. As a way to avoid working, I thought I would scan some in to share on my blog. This is from The Poppy Seed Cakes by Margery Clark with illustrations by Maud and Miska Petersham.

I've been diligent about getting fresh stuff into my booth at Barn House Antiques in Lansing. I was there yesterday delivering some holiday linens and miscellaneous goodies and I remembered to snap a photo on my new Droid. (That Nascar driver cut-out in the back is not mine.)

A nice selection that shows the range of Flax textures and weaves. From left to right we have: cotton flannel, yarn-dyed flat linen, popcorn textured linen, handkerchief weight flat linen, yarn-dyed weave linen & linen bark cloth.

A dear friend is making some tough choices with her apron collection. She has given me a healthy stack to sell for her on Etsy. They are beauties. Stay tuned!
