Wow! A chance combo of plants from Bakers Acres has turned out to be my favorite of the year. Don't ask me to name the 3 parts, but I guess I could go find the plastic markers that came with them. I'm considering adding a little bit of dark blue around the edges.

Oh, so delicious...my recipe of the day. And I use the term "recipe" loosely.

Oat Groats -cooked with lots of creaminess left - I soaked mine overnight then simmered for an hr or so
Parmesan Cheese - grated - a couple of good shakes - mixes in with the oat cream
Fresh Peas - not cooked, just shelled and thrown in - as many as you want
Salt & Pepper - lots of Pepper
Mix together and eat.  My oats were still lukewarm, but I'll try it cold later.

Found these Mason jars with pumps on Etsy from MidwestFinds. My local pals will understand my excitement because they know I love my jars for drinking, storage, etc. I've ordered a bunch of the lids with pumps and they are totally rocking. Forget the fancy aluminum beverage containers. You can't beat glass. Try these out!

I love vintage clothespins. This kind isn't the most functional, but they are so appealing; made when cutting down trees to carve into clothespins was no big deal. They have a great weight to them. Finding a peck basket for 25 cents at a garage sale just makes my day.

for a joyful and productive week of mixed media exploration.

 

This is a week of playing with maps, souvenirs, books, baggage, figures and wayside shrines and seeing where they take us.

Our well equipped studios are set up for working with wood, print, paper, paint, metal, cloth and papier maché. We offer technique demos and individual problem solving. Focus on one technique and/or format in depth, or sample and mix your media. We’ll discuss strategies for continuity, mechanisms for change, Issues of scale, portability and presentation.

$698 includes lab fee, 5 extravagant, healthy lunches, 2 sumptuous dinners, and daily lavish snacks.
