This photo dispels the myth of the Grilled Salmon Jinx. Last Friday I attempted to grill salmon and was called out to a fire before the first flip of the filets. I left the kids in charge of the grill, much to their dismay. I turned off the grill and asked them to flip the salmon once and not let it burn. Simple enough. The salmon came out excellent, but the kids complained that they had no idea what they were doing. They were sure that each time I tried to grill salmon in the future, I would be called out on a fire call. So tonight, I used their "turn the grill off half way" method and the salmon cooked with me in charge the whole time. See kids, I told you there is no such thing as a Grilled Salmon Jinx. By the way, this is wild-caught salmon from Aldi and it is super and inexpensive. I have decided that this will be my go-to meal for the summer.
